The Food Giftbox
Now open for donations... all tins, packets, jars and treats are much appreciated... thank you for your support!
No one in our local community should have to face going hungry. But food poverty in Rochdale is on the increase.
We have always understood that the existence and survival of Rochdale Foodbank requires ‘whole community’ involvement. We totally depend on the generosity of the people of Rochdale who conscientiously donate food week in and week out.
The aim of our new FoodGiftBox network is to make it as convenient as possible for more people to donate food, and to include many more corporate, charity and public organisations into the network to reinforce the ‘whole community’ message.
So how does it work? If you want to donate food, just look at the map and click on the pins nearest to where you live (you can zoom in to see better). There may be one or two options you can choose from. Or, if you want to be a FoodGiftBox holder, send an email to debbie.field@rochdale.foodbank.org.uk and we will get in touch. Demand for our services as a crisis foodbank is growing. We really need your help!
